MASS SAVE® REBATES PROGRAM

When it comes time to upgrade your North Shore, Massachusetts home, knowing where to look for rebates and incentives can help you save on your home improvement project. The Mass Save Rebate Program was created to help make energy-saving home improvements affordable to Massachusetts homeowners.

25C TAX CREDITS

Starting in 2023, households can take advantage of the improved 25C federal tax credit, now called the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit. Passed as part of the Inflation Reduction Act, the 25C IRA tax credit is available for a number of energy efficient home improvement services, including the following heating and cooling upgrades:

Heat pumps (including ductless mini-splits): 30% tax credit, up to $2,000
Furnaces, boilers, and central air conditioners: 30% tax credit, up to $600 (must meet high energy-efficiency standards)

INFLATION REDUCTION ACT REBATES

Two new rebate programs were created by the Inflation Reduction Act:

HOMES (Home Owner Managing Energy Savings) Rebate Program

Rebates up to $4,000 for home energy efficiency retrofits ($8,000 for low and moderate-income households)

High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebate Program

Rebates for low and moderate-income homeowners for electric system/appliance purchases and energy efficiency upgrades

We just completed a multi-day job with Kearney HVAC to completely replace the majority of all ductwork on the main floor of a 3000 sq ft detached house, create two zones in replace of one, install an electrostatic filter, seal all returns, and install wireless thermostats. The work was required due to the previous patchwork installations that had been performed by what seemed like different contractors, with numerous errors and faulty air-flow throughout the entire house. The experience with Kearney first began with a thorough inspection and quote for the work needed to be performed, followed up with components information and details on several technology options that could be installed as upgrades. Kearney did not oversell any of the upgrades, and worked to design a solution that fit my family’s needs and requirements, nothing more and nothing less. The quote for the work was fair, and competitive to many of the other quotes that I had solicited from nearby HVAC companies. Better yet, we were able to schedule the job in a very timely manner. The work was promptly completed, with a well knowledgeable and respectful crew. For the amount of dirt and debris that was created by the demolition in the unoccupied basement, by the time Kearney left everything was put back in place, clean, and professional. We will be calling Kearney back for our HVAC needs in a future addition to the home. Would highly recommend Kearney HVAC for anyone who is interested in having their system installed correctly and professionally the first time.
